⚡ You will play an important role in:
Reporting to the Program Director - Solar and working closely with the entire North American business unit, you will play a key role throughout the development and execution of Boralex's projects in North America.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
- Help develop the project strategy and guidelines, and ensure that they are followed and communicated to the project team.
- Manage and monitor the project in accordance with Boralex's strategy and criteria for profitability, quality, and timeliness.
- Reconcile the various issues (technical, environmental, etc.) to serve the scope of the projects.
- Mobilize and coordinate a multidisciplinary project team using matrix management.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams (technical, construction, legal, finance, etc.) to encourage employees to find optimal solutions.
- Promote Boralex's values in its outreach to communities and partners.
- Conduct commercial negotiations with the support of the technical team and the SVP, EPC, North America.
- Ensure that the OHS structure is implemented in collaboration with the site teams.
- Monitor the progress of mandates and compliance with deadlines, and take corrective measures if necessary.
- In collaboration with the project control team, implement cost and schedule estimation tools according to the specificities of each project.
- Prepare reports on the status of projects and the overall progress of engineering files.
- Coordinate the transition of the project from execution to operations.
- Prepare the documents required for the various committees.
This position requires frequent travel within North America.
💡 To succeed in this position, you need:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, administration, or equivalent training.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in major renewable energy (solar) and construction projects (an asset).
- Leadership, rigor, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interest and skills in teamwork and interpersonal communication.
- Experience in managing complex projects and negotiating contracts.
