Exceeding our health and safety standards

A large part of our teams work on the construction, maintenance, and operation of our renewable energy sites. That is why we have placed Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) at the heart of our strategic priorities through a comprehensive approach that relies on greater synergy between our operating units in Europe, North America, and corporate teams. We have integrated psychosocial risks into our annual review cycles to open the dialogue on the individual well-being of our employees.

Optimizing work flexibility

To support a hybrid work model, we communicate best practices for remote work when this format is possible for our employees. Respecting moments of disconnection, sending emails with delayed delivery, or setting work and quiet hours are all factors that will allow you to balance personal and professional needs.

Raising awareness through courageous conversations

Conferences, called Courageous Conversations, are also offered annually on more sensitive topics that are important to discuss to break taboos. These can cover a variety of subjects related to mental health or inclusion and diversity topics. Their format promotes the expertise of an external speaker and allows employees to share their stories and experiences.

Supporting employees beyond work

An independent and anonymous platform offering advice to support people facing personal, family, and/or professional issues. Available 24/7, a network of experts is at the disposal of the teams.

Iron Boralex Challenge, moving for others

We know challenges well. So, to put well-being and performance at the service of others, we created the Iron Boralex Challenge. Every June for the past 7 years, two teams, the Greens and the Yellows, compete in over 60 activities ranging from traditional running, cycling, and walking to yoga, team sports, and even gardening.

The principle is simple: every minute or meter run, walked, swum, cycled (etc.) earns points. At the end of the month, the team with the most points wins. More than a corporate sports challenge, it is also a solidarity act that raises funds for charities chosen by the employees.
