Additional incomes
for territorial development
While developing renewable energy projects primarily helps combat climate change, it also significantly diversifies the income of territories. A wind farm, for example, generates economic benefits and royalties that can be reinvested in local infrastructure, community services, or sustainable development initiatives. By collaborating with Boralex, local communities can promote environmental sustainability while diversifying and energizing the local economy, paving the way for a resilient and prosperous future.
Developing renewable energy
to reduce our fossil energy consumption
In Quebec, about 50% of the energy consumed comes from fossil sources. Although the electricity produced in the province is almost entirely renewable, mainly thanks to hydroelectricity, it only covers part of the total energy needs. This is one of the reasons why Quebec needs to increase its production from renewable energy sources.

Thus, Quebec, like the rest of the world, is continuing its energy transition. Hydro-Québec’s 2035 action plan “Towards a Decarbonized and Prosperous Quebec” aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet the expected growth in electricity demand.
With the addition of 10,000 MW of new wind capacity by 2035, the wind sector becomes a crucial element of Quebec’s energy transition. To meet this challenge, Boralex brings all its experience and expertise to the service of First Nations and municipalities that wish to adopt renewable energy today and build a sustainable and prosperous future for tomorrow.

- Listening to various stakeholders
- Openness to ideas and requests from the community
- Availability to meet with local stakeholders

03.
A Long-term Partner
Development, operation, maintenance… Our teams approach the complete lifecycle management of a production park and work on the principle of continuous improvement to optimize each stage of a project, while listening not only to the communities but also to environmental monitoring.

Creating Value with You and for You
Renewable energy parks offer communities a real opportunity for sustainable prosperity. Through job creation, additional income generation, and contributing to the energy transition of an entire territory, these projects strengthen and energize the local economic fabric while preserving the environment.
