Project Details
Commissioned in 2010, the Ronchois wind farm has been contributing for over 15 years to renewable energy production in the Aumale Blangy-sur-Bresle area and the Picardie Verte region.
To anticipate technical obsolescence, the wind farm is now undergoing a repowering project aimed at modernizing the facilities with more efficient turbines—fewer in number and better integrated into their surroundings.
This project will increase green energy production while reducing land footprint and the impact of the current wind farm. Technical and environmental studies are underway, and we are committed to involving local stakeholders and residents at every stage of the project, notably through a project committee and regular consultation sessions. This repowering initiative is fully aligned with regional objectives for renewable energy development and carbon neutrality.
Project Challenges
The power and size of the current turbines do not allow us to maintain the same number of machines as the existing wind farm. We will replace the 15 turbines with the installation of 12 turbines.
