Project overview
Located on a plot of land adjoining a sheepfold and a farm in the Yonne region, the project is the brainchild of two french farmers Aurélie and Emmanuel Cretté. With a planned output of 11.29 MWc, the future solar park expected to produce 13.43 GWh annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of almost 6,326 people.
Once up and running, this project will enable :
- Sustainability of sheep farming on the farm;
- Improvement of the well-being of the sheep;
- Adaptation to climate change, in particular by protecting the animals from rain, providing shade for the flock and staggering peak grass production;
- Production of low-carbon energy.
