The Aubéguimont Solar Project

Developed by Boralex in partnership with GAEC Noyon, the Aubéguimont agrivoltaic cattle project aims to sustainably combine renewable electricity generation with dairy farming on a single farm. Located on farmland north of the town, the project aims to support the development of agricultural activity while contributing to the region’s energy transition.

The proposed layout calls for the installation of photovoltaic panels that are compatible with continued cattle grazing. In particular, these panels could provide shaded areas that enhance the animals’ comfort during periods of extreme heat. The project is currently undergoing studies and consultations with local stakeholders to define a layout that addresses the site’s agricultural, environmental, and landscape challenges.

Ultimately, this project could help ensure the long-term viability of the farm while contributing to the production of local renewable electricity in support of the energy transition.
