You want to join a dedicated team of experienced professionals in the renewable energy field for a unique project campaign to expand leadership and service in the United States Renewables Sector.YOUR CHALLENGEYou and your project team will be responsible for leading and end-to-end Operations and Maintenance Takeover of a portfolio of mid-life Wind Assets located in Texas and New Mexico. You will plan and execute a transition plan to transition from an existing service provider to a newly contracted model- safely, on-time, and on-budget. The ideal candidate will bring strong project execution skills, an understanding of wind farms and wind farm operations, contract and contractual process expertise, and must thrive in managing multi-stakeholder transitions while the site continues operations.
- Project Leadership, Coordination & Meetings
- Lead all regular project team meetings (weekly or bi-weekly), including preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, tracking tasks, and coordinating follow-up actions.Conduct meetings with workstream leads to review progress, clarify actions, establish deliberate deadlines, and resolve barriers.Escalate delays, risks, or performance concerns; adjust schedules, float, and follow-ups as needed.Coordinate external meetings related to the project scope or individual workstreams; prepare agendas, take notes, and track all task items.Maintain clear communication flow among Operations, Engineering, HSE, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and partner stakeholders.
- Contract & Document Management
- Organize and execute all contracts relevant to the O&M takeover, including contract transition plans and any new agreements required.Coordinate contract reviews and approvals, including review by the Director of Operations and relevant budget owners.Manage and track all requests for additional costs, change orders, or out-of-scope work, ensuring proper approval pathways.Track open change orders and coordinate detailed team reviews to confirm accuracy of invoices, alignment with agreed rates, and correct scope classification.Support dispute-related communications, including preparing notices, late-payment letters, interest applications, and documentation of non-performance.Prepare notice letters (e.g., notices of delay) as needed and escalate drafts for review and tone alignment when dealing with major partners or contributors.Track all damages or eligible Liquidated Damages (LDs) and proactively prepare invoices for accumulating LDs.Organize all documentation from technical walkdowns, asset condition assessments, and workstream deliverables.
Integrated Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain the comprehensive project plan, incorporating all workstreams, timelines, risks, resource needs, and evolving contract strategies.Coordinate workstream reporting, ensuring contributors routinely provide progress updates and identify barriers or support needs.Establish and maintain deadlines for all project activities across technical, commercial, and operations teams.Work with Integration Team to manage the integration of assets into Boralex systems (SCADA, CMMS, reporting, remote operations), ensuring data and documentation transfer is complete.
- Budgeting, Cost Control & Financial Tracking
- Document, track, and forecast all project-related budget items, escalating potential shortfalls or variances.Work closely with the Accounting team to establish appropriate WBS structures for cost tracking, including separation of Boralex OPCO costs and partner-shared budget items.Proactively manage milestone payment requirements and ensure timely execution.Review, approve, and track invoices across all workstreams; maintain a complete internal record of all invoices.Reject or return invoices requiring clarification, missing detail, or misalignment with contract scope.Coordinate regular team reviews of invoices and change orders to ensure accuracy, scope alignment, and compliance with contract terms.
- Risk, Compliance & Issue Resolution
- Identify, document, and mitigate risks impacting schedule, budget, quality, performance, or regulatory compliance.Maintain safe operations throughout the transition and ensure adherence to Boralex HSSE standards and U.S. federal, state, and local requirements.Notify senior stakeholders (e.g., Yves, Nicole) of disputes; lead dispute-resolution planning and execute required documentation or notices.Track and escalate high-priority issues requiring leadership decisions; provide recommendations aligned with project strategy.
- Monthly Reporting & Executive Summaries
- Prepare a consolidated monthly summary report including:Budget variance (Boralex O&M/OPCO budget and Partner budget).Schedule status, variance, and float.Progress of major activities and percent completion of critical path items.Delays, risks, and emerging issues affecting budget or schedule.Key decisions required, including recommendations. Coordinate the development of this report with the PM team, Integration Manager, Director of Operations, and Asset Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in wind energy operations, project management, or technical O&M transitions.Experience managing budgets, invoices, payments, and coordination to related activitiesStrong background in contract execution, commercial oversight, scheduling, and technical project leadership.Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with demanding time and cost constraints.Ability to stand/walk around site with uneven terrain or gravel roads and potentially extreme seasonal temperatures for 4-6 hours per work day. Exposure to weather during site visits is expected.Ability to lift, hold, carry 20 pounds occassionallyAbility to travel approximately 20–40% including driving long distances or flying commercially
NICE TO HAVE
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification.Experience with O&M takeover projects or operational transitions in the renewable energy sector or similar transitions to operations team from greenfield or acquisitionUnderstanding of turbine OEMs such as GE, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, or others.Familiarity with CMMS tools (SAP, Maximo, etc.) and SCADA/monitoring systems considered a plus.Contract management considered a plus
